Seller:
- Original PA Title
- Proof if ID (valid PA driver's license or PA Photo ID Card)
Buyer:
- Proof of ID (valid PA driver's license or PA Photo ID Card)
- Purchase price and mileage from vehicle
- Proof of Insurance - (must be current and match address on driver license)
Out of State Titles
Please bring the following items to complete your transfer from another state to Pennsylvania:
- Proof of ID (valid PA driver's license or PA Photo ID Card)
- Original Title
- Proof of Insurance (must be current and match address on driver license)
- Vehicle being transferred in order to verify VIN (or a VIN tracing) If the vehicle is financed, please bring name, FIN #, and VIN number
- For Business Titles: PENNDOT requires proof of your position with the company, not just a business card. If the owner of the company is sending an employee to complete the transfer, please provide a notarized letter (on company letterhead) giving authorization to the employee to make the transfer signed by the owner.
Snowmobiles/ATV's/Boats
Title or transferable registration and a notarized bill of sale. If the ATV or snowmobile is coming to Pennsylvania from out of state and was not registered, a VIN tracing is required. ATV's and snowmobiles from within Pennsylvania require the original title that was issued.
